Businesses across the length and breadth of Co. Meath are invited to attend the County Meath Chamber Open Day & Official Launch from 10am to 5pm on Tuesday October 2nd in the Chamber Building, Church Hill, Navan.

The past six months have been extremely busy. Chamber House has been given a much needed facelift and a new lease of life. I was determined from the outset that the Chamber be a support facility for businesses in Meath and I am proud of the achievements to date. The internal spaces have been transformed into meeting/training/interview spaces which can cater for up to sixty people at any one time with WiFi throughout and catering facilities onsite. The aim of Meath Chamber is to promote and develop economic and commercial activity in County Meath and to drive and champion the region as an excellent place in Ireland to do business.
“Our membership packages provide year round opportunities of networking and training for businesses - as well as other business supports, including export documentation, trade information, marketing advice, cross promotion and collaboration,” explains Paula.
Meath Chamber is continually collaborating with other local bodies, including Meath County Council and Local Enterprise Office (LEO Meath) in order to achieve its aims for business across the county.
The three organisations worked together to deliver a very successful Brexit Breakfast Meeting in Buvinda House in Navan on Friday September 21st. Admission was free and attendees enjoyed a Boyne Valley Flavours Breakfast on arrival and a very informative panel discussion with guest speakers Mairéad McGuinness (MEP, Vice-President of the European Parliament), Helen McEntee, (Minister for European Affairs & T.D. for Meath East), Jackie Maguire (CEO Meath County Council) and William Egenton (Managing Director, Dromone Engineering).
In advance of National Women's Enterprise Day (NWED) taking place on Thursday October 18th, Meath Chamber in collaboration with Meath LEO are also hosting a Meath Women In Business event in Boyne Hill House in Navan at 6pm this Thursday September 27th. Titled 'Work/Life Balance – It's A Juggling Act,' the evening will feature guest speakers Gemma McGown from The Handmade Soap Company, Deirdre Murtagh from Causey Farm and Victorian Escapades and Ciara Garvan, founder of WorkJuggle.com Admission of €25 per person includes refreshments, speakers, a light supper, networking opportunities and an Expo on the night. Businesses that are concerned about the impact of Brexit are also invited to avail of one of two upcoming free seminars. Meath Chamber and LEO Meath – with the support of AIB – will hold two free Brexit Advisory Clinics from 9am to 1pm in the Chamber Building on Wednesday October 3rd and Wednesday October 17th. The aim of the Clinics is to provide information and practical support to Meath businesses that will allow them to take action to address their exposure to Brexit. Along with a selection of expert speakers, the clinics will provide the opportunity to receive personalised advice specific to your business, which will be delivered through one to one meetings with independent experts across a number of business areas. Places are strictly limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis and online booking is available via the Chamber website.
Other upcoming events include two Regional Revenue PAYE Modernisation Seminars on Wednesday October 10th in the Ardboyne Hotel Navan and Thursday October 11th in Pillo Hotel Ashbourne and a Breakfast Seminar about Retirement Planning for Business Owners from 7.30am to 9am on Wednesday October 24th in the Chamber Building.
