Community Relations Executive


Full Job Description

The Community Relations Executive will be responsible for co-ordinating communications and events with stakeholders, residents and the local community, in support of the overall Community Engagement plan and in line with stakeholder priorities in key areas.

Community Engagement activity is a key driver in Glenveagh’s overall vision and mission, and the successful candidate will play a vital role in the company’s success by increasing local engagement and maximising benefit to communities in areas where Glenveagh build.



Key responsibilities and duties

  • Drawing on the overall Community Engagement Strategy, develop an integrated communications strategy with the wider team to help raise awareness of the benefits of living in a Glenveagh community
  • Assist in developing and delivering bespoke communications plans
    for key areas based on local priorities
  • As part of a wider team, support the delivery of briefings and Town Halls for local communities, residents, and key stakeholders
  • Build and nurture relationships with schools, clubs, stakeholders and other interest groups within those communities
  • Work with colleagues across the business to identify new opportunities both internal and external
  • Devise and deliver a calendar of year-round community events working closely with key partners in the community and with the support of the wider team
  • Support the Community Engagement team with coordinating internal and external community messaging via the full range of media channels
  • Identify new opportunities to help raise the profile of community activity at local, regional and national level aligned with the company’s business objectives.
  • Serve as a key point of contact in areas where we build by attending external partner and key stakeholder meetings as required
  • Weekly reporting on metrics that capture data to demonstrate community engagement’s impact on our business, our employees, and the community
  • Maintain a professional image for the company in all dealings with public and stakeholders, positively contributing to the growth and culture of the company.
  • Other ad hoc duties that the Company may require from time to time.


  • Experience working in a similar media relations/stakeholder engagement role
  • Experience working with various groups including non-profit organisations and/or community groups.
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communications skills in English
  • Confident communicator and ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Evidence of building robust relationships with key stakeholders and partner organisations.
  • PR experience, including a good knowledge and understanding of using social media as an engagement and publicity tool.
  • Proven ability to be able to respond quickly to evolving business and people needs.
  • Strong project and event management ability; can create and implement plans and adapt to changing priorities and timelines quickly and easily.
  • The role requires a full clean driving licence
