Dunshaughlin Community Centre CLG and Peak Fitness Gym

Dunshaughlin Community Centre CLG is a Social Enterprise providing Community, Social, Health and Fitness and educational facilities for the growing community of Dunshaughlin and its environs. Dunshaughlin has grown from a small village in the late 1980’s to a moderate growth Town which will reach a population of 10k + by 2021.

It is a Community Service Programme (CSP) project part funded by the Department of Rural and Community Development. THE CSP targets employment for those in society who are sometimes left behind in traditional employment avenues and targets these disadvantaged people through employment interventions.

Dunshaughlin Community Centre was awarded the “Best Community Based initiative “ , an all- Ireland award in 2015 by LAMA(Local Authority Members Association)/IPB.(Irish Public Bodies)

Social Enterprises can play a major part in the response to the negative affects post COVID-19 by offering Community based employment to those whose jobs have now ceased.
