Bakealicious is a small café and bakery based in the middle of Navan town where there is always a selection of spelt cakes and bakes as well as a brunch and lunch menu.

Opened in 2016, we pride ourselves on honest cakes and bakes which are made in small handmade batches using only natural ingredients and believe that every cake should taste as good as it looks. Everything we make is with spelt flour which is an ancient grain which is less processed making it easier for your body to digest.

We are the only cake and bread bakery in Ireland to make all our products with spelt flour. We also use other delicious ingredients like Irish butter, free ranged eggs and Belgium chocolate. We bake with the seasons to ensure perfect ripeness for fruits used and less air mile.

Along with our regular cakes, we also provide a range of gluten, dairy, egg, vegan suitable and refined sugar free cakes, which means everyone can enjoy a slice at Bakealicious.

Just like the Bakealicious’ cakes, the savoury menu is also created around what is fresh and in season. We make all our own bread for sandwiches, salad dressings and mayonnaise and have a variety of vegetarian and vegan options as well as gluten free. Summertime brings a greater emphasis on salads and fresh flavours with Wintertime seeing a greater demand for toasties and warming dishes.

The coffee we use is from Ariosa, tea is either Pukka or Clippers and we stock a variety of Irish made juices and lemonades.

Occasion cakes are our speciality. Each occasion cake is handmade by using only the best ingredients. Whether it’s a birthday cake, Christening cake, a naming day cake, wedding cake or ‘just because’ cake we believe all occasions should be celebrated with cake…and a delicious one at that!

Bakealicious have a big emphasis on sustainability throughout the whole business. All packaging is compostable and/or recyclable and our customers are encouraged to bring their own reusable cup for take away coffees. We recently have implemented our 2 Go Cup scheme which allows customers deposit €1 and return the cup when finished receiving their euro back. This cuts down on single use packaging waste.
