We are a Community Employment Project which means we are non-profit community organisation that receives government funding to employ long-term unemployed people. We offer 12 month contracts of work in the community in the categories of work listed above and we offer training during that time. Our aim is to progress our participants to open employment, eduction or enterprise. Our jobs are for 19.5 hours per week and to qualify to take part in our Project there is eligibility criteria. In the main this is 21 years of age and 12 months in receipt of a qualifying Department of Social Protection payment. There are exceptions to this and our advise is if someone is interesterd they are best to check their individual eligibility with us directly here in the Sports Development Office.
