Enable Ireland

Enable Ireland provides services to over 13,000 children and adults with disabilities and their families from 43 locations in 14 counties. Covering childhood to adulthood our expert teams work with the individual and their family on a plan for each life stage. Our services for children and their families cover all aspects of a child's physical, educational, and social development from early infancy through adolescence. For adults we offer a range of services covering personal development, independent living, supported employment, social and leisure activities. The demand for our services continues to increase throughout Ireland. We have set ourselves the challenging goal of meeting these needs by providing a full range of high-quality services and expanding into local communities.

Meath Adult Services
Our mission is to work in partnership with those who use our service to provide maximum independence, choice and inclusion in the community. As an innovative leader, we provide quality services, positive life experiences and advocate for inclusion in society.  This empowers people with disabilities. 
Enable Ireland’s Independent Living Service based in Bailis, Johnstown, Meath is delivered in partnership with the HSE and Cheshire Ireland. Support is provided on a 24-hour x 7-day-per-week basis, to four individuals living in the Bailis apartment complex.
This is a progressive bespoke model, providing a person-centred, innovative response to the housing needs of adults with disabilities. Set up in 2008, the management, staff and service users have collaboratively developed and advanced this service into a gold level standard of independent living for people with disability. This has changed the landscape of living arrangements for people with a disability. 
Service users who live in the Bailis apartment complex are fully integrated into the diverse community in Johnstown where they are recognised for their many valued social roles. They are active and visible in their local community, whether it be in the local cafes, shops or on the bus network.
