County Meath Chamber has welcomed a strong response to the first Meath Business Showcase, which took place on Wednesday 17th June at the CityNorth Hotel and brought together exhibitors, speakers, sponsors and local stakeholders from across the county to celebrate all things business!
With a sixty-strong exhibitor line-up, the new event gave SME’s a valuable platform to connect, promote their services, explore opportunities and strengthen local networks. LMFM broadcast live throughout the day, offering dozens of small businesses the chance to be profiled on the airwaves as well as in the room. Exhibitors and attending businesses praised the quality of engagement, the energy in the room and the practical value of bringing so many local enterprises together under one roof.
County Meath Chamber President NIamh Giffney added that the first Showcase underlined the importance of creating meaningful opportunities for businesses to meet face-to-face.
“This first Showcase was about more than exhibition space; it was about connection, collaboration and confidence. Business doesn’t grow on its own – we need one another, we need to back one another. The feedback from exhibitors speaks volumes about the need for platforms that support visibility and relationship-building. County Meath Chamber is proud to champion the people and enterprises driving growth across the county.”
Cathaoirleach Cllr. Sarah Reilly said, “It was a pleasure to attend the Meath Business Showcase and to see such a strong representation of businesses from across the county coming together in one place. Events like this play an important role in supporting our local economy – creating opportunities for collaboration, strengthening networks, and helping businesses to grow and thrive. The level of engagement on the day highlights the important role local enterprise continues to play in driving sustainable economic growth across County Meath.”
A key feature of the day was the discussion panel on decarbonising business, which explored how companies can respond to climate targets, manage energy challenges and take practical steps towards more sustainable operations. The panel included input from Pat Smith of Local Power, Kitty Foyle of Meath County Council Environment and Climate, Fergus Sharkey of SEAI, and Jason Kenna of EirGrid. The Chamber thanked each speaker for sharing their expertise.
The B2B Advice Clinics added a practical peer-to-peer element, offering support across finance, marketing, recruitment, digital, business consultancy and HR.
Michael McCann’s presentation on artificial intelligence also generated strong interest, highlighting a topic the Chamber plans to build upon with its wider network in the months ahead.
The Chamber expressed sincere thanks to event sponsor Meath County Council, associate sponsor EirGrid, and RESPA, sponsor of the Meath Chamber Sustainable Business Forum, for helping to deliver a strong first-year event.
County Meath Chamber CEO Paula McCaul said the success of the inaugural Showcase reflected both the strength of local enterprise and the depth of support available to businesses across the county.
“The response to our first Meath Business Showcase has been hugely encouraging. With over sixty exhibitors and strong engagement throughout the day, it demonstrated the depth and diversity of enterprise across County Meath. It was also a timely reminder of the strong support ecosystem that exists for businesses here, with organisations such as Meath Chamber, Meath LEO and THRIVE providing access to practical advice, expertise and supports to help businesses start, grow, innovate and adapt. There is a great sense of collaboration in Meath. We are all working together to promote Meath business and businesses really value that. We are very grateful to everyone who sponsored and supported the event, and we look forward to building on this momentum again next year.”
Following the success of its first year, County Meath Chamber confirmed that the Meath Business Showcase will return on Thursday June 24th 2027. Time and Venue TBC
