Meath Women in Business & Tech Network – Mid-Year Review 2025
Inspiring Women – Empowering Business
2025 is shaping up to be another exceptional year for the Meath Women in Business & Tech Network (WIB+T), a vibrant, supportive community where businesswomen across Meath come together to connect, share experiences, and grow in confidence and enterprise. With two standout events already delivered and more to come, the network continues to offer valuable opportunities for learning, leadership, and meaningful networking.
In March, we marked International Women’s Day with an inspiring event featuring keynote speakers Mairead McGuinness, former EU Commissioner, and Kate Olohan, Director/Producer at RTÉ. Their honest reflections on leadership, resilience, and their personal journeys left a lasting impression on all who attended.
Our June Summer Celebration focused on “Lessons from our Leaders”, where journalist Elaine Keogh (Solstice Media) hosted a fireside chat with Jackie Maguire, former Chief Executive of Meath County Council, and Catherine McGuigan, CEO of Age Action Ireland. Both speakers shared powerful insights from their careers and offered practical advice for navigating leadership and change in business.
Looking ahead to September, our next event—“Digital Threads - Weaving Creativity & Strategy” will explore how to grow and promote your brand through digital platforms. We’ll be joined by two dynamic speakers: Louise O’Connor of Rethink Digital, and Emilie Williams, founder of Ditsy Bits, a Dublin-based independent clothing brand launched in 2022.
Now in its seventh year, WIB+T continues to grow in reach and impact. Events take place at the beautiful, family-run Station House Hotel in Kilmessan, providing a warm and welcoming backdrop for insightful conversations, networking, and peer learning. Managed by County Meath Chamber in partnership with Meath Local Enterprise Office, and proudly sponsored by Meta, the network brings together women from across industries—whether they run their own business or play a leading role in one.
The strength of WIB+T lies in the connections it fosters. Over the years, countless collaborations, partnerships, and friendships have emerged from this network. It’s not just about hearing from inspiring speakers—it’s about building lasting relationships, gaining confidence, and doing business together in a space where everyone is encouraged to thrive.
