“Windfall revenues present Government with a rare opportunity to invest in Ireland’s long-term future. We must use this moment wisely to accelerate delivery in the areas that matter most to business and communities: housing, infrastructure, skills, energy security and competitiveness. At the same time, Budget 2027 must recognise the pressure on employers and workers by easing the tax burden where possible, while beginning an honest conversation about how we broaden the tax base for the years ahead.”

Niamh Giffney, President County Meath Chamber.
