Principal EIA Consultant

 

Rowan are looking to recruit an experienced Principal EIA & Environmental Planning Consultant. Rowan is an ambitious, growing, dynamic multidisciplinary company that provide Environmental Consultancy and Forensic Engineering services. 

A hybrid working model to be based in our office in Trim, Co Meath or Oranmore, Co Galway working on projects of varying scale and type in the areas of renewable energy (On-Shore Wind, Off Shore Wind, Solar, Battery Storage and Anaerobic Digestion), Food & Drink Industry, EPA licensed sites, Construction, and others.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience in project managing Environmental Impact Assessments EIAs and the environmental planning system in Ireland, particularly with respect to the renewable energy (On-Shore Wind, Off Shore Wind, Solar, Battery Storage and Anaerobic Digestion) and food and drink sector. 
You will have the autonomy to complete excellent work your way, in accordance with the company vision to ‘Provide Excellence with a Sense of Humour’. There will be regular contact and support from the Environmental and Managing Directors. Hybrid Working arrangement with 2 days per week based in a Rowan Office. 


Competencies
•    A third level qualification (Degree/Masters) in environmental science or related discipline.
•    Experience working in the Irish environmental and planning legislative contexts with EIAR project management and report writing / review.
•    Ability to project manage multi-disciplinary teams and multiple projects simultaneously.
•    10+ years’ relevant experience preferred.
•    Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
•    Highly motivated individual with strong attention to detail.
•    Be self-motivated and solution driven.
•    A full clean driving licence.


The candidate must be able to demonstrate excellence in delivery in several of the following areas:
•    Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (EIAR), report writing and co-ordination.
•    Management of planning applications & undertaking pre application consultation with local authorities.
