Overview:
Due
to the continued growth Virginia International Logistics Properties is looking
to fill two roles of warehouse worker. Reporting
to the Warehouse Manager/Supervisor, the Warehouse operative will be responsible
for the undertaking of receiving & dispatching tasks to assure that the
highest possible service is provided to our customers.
Duties:
- Various stock, good in/goods out
related activities.
- Effective liaison with colleagues
to enable completion of tasks and the distribution of relevant
information.
- Participate in performing cycle
counts of all stock to ensure accuracy
- Sorting materials for
combo/shrink pack orders running them through a shrink-wrap machine
- Identifying and reporting any discrepancies
or issues such as quality, missing items, damage to goods etc. and
reporting to the Inventory & Quality Controller to ensure accuracy
- Storing away all
cleared pallets received on a daily basis
- Preparing and loading
customer pallets for outward deliver
- Ensuring pallets are completed
and secure for transport.
- Customer Pick and
Pack/order fulfilment.
- Manual offload of
containers, palletizing goods.

Safety policies, recommendations and availing of equipment where
applicable.

- Excellent
attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.

- Ability to read and comprehend
pick list, purchase orders, receiving slips, route slips and instructions
Desirable Requirements:

Knowledge
of logistics and warehouse industry.

Knowledge
of warehouse management systems (however, training will be provided)
