Vehicle Progressors

Vehicle Progressor – Navan

Kylemore Cars is Ireland’s largest independent used car retailer. Established in 2013, the business has grown from strength to strength, building a strong reputation for quality used vehicles, exceptional customer service and a straightforward approach to car buying.

In 2022, Kylemore Cars marked a major milestone with the opening of its purpose-built, state-of-the-art NZEB showroom in Ballymount, Dublin 12. The first facility of its kind in Ireland, the showroom reflects the company’s continued investment in innovation, sustainability and the customer experience.

Building on more than a decade of growth, Kylemore Cars is now entering another exciting chapter. In late 2026, the company will expand its dealership footprint with the opening of a new used car showroom at Balmoral in Navan, bringing the Kylemore Cars offering directly to customers across County Meath and the wider North-East region.

Our arrival in Navan comes at an exciting time for the town and, in particular, the wider Balmoral area. Significant public and private investment is helping to transform and better connect the area, including the recently completed Blackwater River Town Bridge and Cycleway linking Balmoral with Blackwater Park and Navan town centre, together with the development of the new landmark Navan Primary Care Centre at Balmoral.

These developments reflect the wider ambition for Navan and County Meath as a place to live, work and do business. Kylemore Cars is delighted to become part of that continued growth and to complement the investment already taking place through our own significant commitment to the area, creating new employment opportunities and bringing our established retail offering to County Meath.

The expansion also reflects the progressive approach being taken towards economic development within County Meath, with continued investment in infrastructure alongside supports designed to encourage businesses to establish, grow and create employment within the county.

As part of this exciting expansion, we are now recruiting for a number of key positions to form our new Navan team, including  Vehicle Progressors.

The Role

The Vehicle Progressor is a varied and hands-on role supporting the day-to-day operation of our dealership and the movement, presentation and administration of our vehicle stock.

No two days will necessarily be the same.

From moving vehicles on and off site, attending NCT and VRT appointments and assisting with stock administration, to photographing newly arrived vehicles and preparing them for online advertising, the Vehicle Progressor will provide practical support wherever it is required across the dealership.

The role will also help ensure that vehicles move efficiently through the different stages of our operation and are presented to the high standard expected by both Kylemore Cars and our customers.

This position would suit someone who enjoys variety in their working day, is comfortable taking responsibility for a range of different tasks and is equally happy working with vehicles, completing administration or helping colleagues with the general day-to-day operation of a busy dealership.

Duties & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Assist with the movement and organisation of vehicles both on and off the dealership premises.
  • Receive and check vehicles arriving into stock and ensure relevant documentation, keys and vehicle information are accounted for.
  • Assist with maintaining accurate records relating to vehicle stock and movements.
  • Carry out regular physical stock checks and assist in ensuring vehicle locations are accurately recorded.
  • Coordinate and attend vehicle appointments at NCT and VRT centres, together with other external appointments as required.
  • Collect and deliver vehicles between Kylemore Cars locations, suppliers and other third-party facilities when required.
  • Assist in monitoring the progress of vehicles through preparation, including servicing, body repair, valeting and other work where applicable.
  • Liaise with colleagues and external suppliers to help ensure vehicles progress efficiently and are available when required.
  • Photograph vehicles to a consistent and professional standard for online advertising.
  • Assist with the preparation and uploading of vehicle information, photographs and advertising content to company systems and online platforms.
  • Check vehicle information and advertising details for accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure vehicles are correctly positioned and presented throughout the dealership.
  • Assist with preparing and positioning vehicles for customer appointments, test drives and handovers.
  • Support the Sales team with vehicle movements and other practical requirements during busy trading periods.
  • Assist with the organisation and control of vehicle keys.
  • Maintain a high standard of care when driving, parking or moving company and customer vehicles.
  • Provide general administrative and operational support across the dealership.
  • Assist with the general presentation, organisation and upkeep of the dealership and surrounding areas.
  • Support promotional events and other dealership activities when required.
  • Undertake other reasonable duties to support the efficient day-to-day operation of the dealership.

The Successful Candidate

We are looking for a reliable, organised and practical person who enjoys variety and is willing to get involved wherever support is required.

The successful candidate will ideally:

  • Hold a full, clean driving licence and be confident driving a wide variety of vehicles.
  • Be comfortable driving both manual and automatic vehicles.
  • Be reliable, punctual and capable of working on their own initiative.
  • Have strong organisational skills and the ability to manage several tasks at the same time.
  • Have good attention to detail, particularly when dealing with vehicle information and administration.
  • Be comfortable using computers, smartphones and digital systems.
  • Have an interest in cars and the motor industry.
  • Be comfortable taking vehicle photographs and learning our advertising and stock-management systems.
  • Have good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be flexible and willing to adapt to changing priorities throughout the working day.
  • Be practical and willing to assist with general dealership duties where required.
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a wider team.
  • Take pride in the presentation and organisation of vehicles and the dealership.
  • Bring a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

Previous experience within the motor trade, vehicle logistics, administration or a similar environment would be an advantage but is not essential. Full training will be provided.

What is the Opportunity?

The Vehicle Progressor occupies a unique position within the dealership, working across many different aspects of our operation rather than being confined to one specific function.

Joining Kylemore Cars Navan provides the opportunity to become part of a completely new dealership team from the beginning, while benefiting from the experience, systems and support of an established and financially secure Irish business.

The varied nature of the position also provides an excellent opportunity to develop a broad understanding of the motor retail industry, including vehicle preparation, stock management, advertising, administration, sales support and dealership operations.

For someone who enjoys a varied working day, likes working with cars and takes pride in getting things done, this is an opportunity to become an important part of the day-to-day operation of our new Navan dealership.

Rewards

We offer a competitive salary package combined with career development opportunities within a financially secure and expanding company.

We will recognise and reward hard work, reliability, initiative and achievement.
