Used Car Sales Manager

Used Car Sales Manager  (Navan)

Kylemore Cars is Ireland’s largest independent used car dealership. Established in 2013, the business has grown from strength to strength, building a strong reputation for quality used vehicles, exceptional customer service and a straightforward approach to car buying.

In 2022, Kylemore Cars marked a major milestone with the opening of its purpose-built, state-of-the-art NZEB showroom in Ballymount, Dublin 12. The first facility of its kind in Ireland, the showroom reflects the company’s continued investment in innovation, sustainability and the customer experience.

Building on more than a decade of growth, Kylemore Cars is now entering another exciting chapter. In late 2026, the company will expand its dealership footprint with the opening of a new used car showroom at Balmoral in Navan, bringing the Kylemore Cars offering directly to customers across County Meath and the wider North-East region.

Our arrival in Navan comes at an exciting time for the town and, in particular, the wider Balmoral area. Significant public and private investment is helping to transform and better connect the area, including the recently completed Blackwater River Town Bridge and Cycleway linking Balmoral with Blackwater Park and Navan town centre, together with the development of the new landmark Navan Primary Care Centre at Balmoral.

These developments reflect the wider ambition for Navan and County Meath as a place to live, work and do business. Kylemore Cars is delighted to become part of that continued growth and to complement the investment already taking place through our own significant commitment to the area, creating new employment opportunities and bringing our established retail offering to County Meath.

The expansion also reflects the progressive approach being taken towards economic development within County Meath, with continued investment in infrastructure alongside supports designed to encourage businesses to establish, grow and create employment within the county.

As part of this exciting expansion, we are now recruiting for a number of key positions to form our new Navan team, including a Used Car Sales Manager.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Sales Performance, the Used Car Sales Manager will play a key leadership role in establishing and driving the sales operation of our new Navan dealership.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading, motivating and developing the Sales team, delivering agreed sales targets and ensuring the consistent application of the Kylemore Cars sales process.

This is a hands-on management position requiring a strong commercial focus combined with excellent people leadership, attention to detail and a genuine commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience.

The Sales Manager will take ownership of day-to-day sales performance, ensuring that every available opportunity is effectively managed from initial enquiry through to sale and vehicle handover. Through the effective use of our CRM, reporting tools and established sales processes, you will ensure the team maintains a consistent focus on enquiry management, customer follow-up, conversion and overall sales performance.

As a key member of the Navan management team, you will also work closely with colleagues across Motor Finance, Customer Experience, Vehicle Preparation, Administration and the wider Kylemore Cars business to ensure an efficient and professional customer journey.

Duties & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Lead, motivate and develop the Sales team to achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Establish a positive, accountable and performance-driven sales culture while maintaining a strong customer-first ethos.
  • Take ownership of the day-to-day performance and effective operation of the dealership Sales function.
  • Ensure every available sales opportunity is effectively managed across showroom, telephone and online enquiry channels.
  • Oversee the complete customer sales journey, from initial enquiry and appointment through to vehicle selection, trade-in, deposit, finance, sale and handover.
  • Monitor sales activity, enquiry management, appointments, follow-up and conversion to ensure opportunities are progressed effectively and consistently.
  • Ensure the Kylemore Cars sales and follow-up process is understood and consistently applied by all members of the team.
  • Maintain a visible and hands-on presence within the showroom, supporting Sales Executives with customer engagement, deal progression and closing where appropriate.
  • Coach and develop individual Sales Executives through regular feedback, performance reviews and solution-focused coaching.
  • Set clear expectations and hold team members accountable for agreed standards and performance.
  • Identify individual and team training requirements and support the continued development of the Sales team.
  • Promote effective collaboration between Sales and Motor Finance to provide customers with an efficient and compliant purchasing experience.
  • Champion the effective use of our CRM and sales measurement systems to drive consistency and performance.
  • Ensure CRM information is maintained accurately and in a timely manner, supporting reliable management reporting and customer follow-up.
  • Closely monitor key sales KPIs, identify trends and take appropriate action to address areas of underperformance.
  • Prepare and communicate meaningful sales performance updates to senior management, working with our Sales Reporting Analyst where appropriate.
  • Use available sales data and reporting to identify opportunities for improvement in enquiry handling, appointment conversion, sales conversion and customer retention.
  • Maintain effective controls to ensure sales documentation and customer sales packs are complete, accurate and compliant with internal policies and procedures.
  • Ensure deposits, deal information, trade-in details and other sales information are recorded accurately within dealership systems.
  • Maintain high standards of professionalism and accuracy throughout every sales transaction.
  • Monitor customer feedback and work with the wider team to continuously improve the customer experience.
  • Support the resolution of customer issues where management intervention is required.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider Navan management team to support the efficient operation and continued development of the dealership.

The Successful Candidate

We are looking for an experienced and commercially focused sales leader who can combine a strong drive for results with effective people management and a genuine commitment to customer experience.

The successful candidate will ideally:

  • Have a minimum of three years' experience within automotive sales management, or significant comparable experience within a high-performing sales environment.
  • Demonstrate a proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Have demonstrable experience leading, motivating and developing a sales team.
  • Possess a strong commercial mindset and be comfortable taking ownership of sales performance.
  • Be a confident and effective communicator with strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Have a customer-focused mindset with a drive for quality, results and continuous improvement.
  • Be comfortable coaching individuals and addressing performance constructively where required.
  • Have a strong understanding of sales KPIs, conversion and performance measurement.

  • Be comfortable using CRM systems and digital reporting tools.
  • Be capable of working collaboratively across different departments while maintaining clear accountability for Sales performance.
  • Demonstrate initiative, resilience and a positive approach to leadership.

Experience using CDK / Keyloop and Tableau, or comparable CRM and business intelligence systems, would be a significant advantage.

Relevant sales, management or leadership qualifications would also be advantageous but are not essential where the candidate can demonstrate appropriate experience and a strong record of performance.

Applicants must be fluent in English, have the legal right to work in Ireland and hold a full, clean driving licence.

What is the Opportunity?

Supported by the established Kylemore Cars infrastructure, systems and senior management team, you will have the opportunity to build and develop a new Sales team while applying proven processes and performance tools developed within our existing business.

The position offers considerable scope for an ambitious Sales Manager to demonstrate their leadership ability, deliver measurable commercial results and contribute directly to the success of Kylemore Cars' continued expansion.

As the business continues to grow, we are committed to developing our people and providing opportunities for high-performing individuals to progress their careers within the wider organisation.

Rewards

We offer a highly competitive remuneration package appropriate to this senior sales management position, including:

  • Competitive base salary
  • Performance-related incentives
  • Company car
  • Paid annual leave

  • Staff discounts
  • Comprehensive induction and ongoing management support
  • Professional development and leadership opportunities
  • Career progression within a financially secure and expanding company
