A sold-out audience of 80 businesswomen gathered at the Station House Hotel, Kilmessan earlier this month for the Meath Women in Biz & Tech Network Summer Celebration
Organised by County Meath Chamber in partnership with Meath Local Enterprise Office and proudly sponsored by Meta, the quarterly network continues to provide a valuable platform for women in business to come together, share experiences and build meaningful professional relationships.
This event centred on the theme “Leading the Way – The Women Shaping Meath’s Industrial Future”. Guests heard from two of Meath’s most senior business leaders: Michelle Bennett, General Manager of Boliden Tara Mines, and Pamela Stone, CEO of Respa. Both organisations are long-established pillars of the local economy, employing more than 500 people and representing over 130 years of combined operation in the county.
In a fireside conversation expertly moderated by Elaine Keogh of Solstice Media, both speakers shared honest and practical insights into leadership, navigating change, and sustaining growth in an increasingly complex global business environment.
The discussion sparked strong engagement among attendees, with an interactive Q&A session and vibrant networking throughout the afternoon. The event reinforced the core strength of the WIBT network—creating space for open conversation, shared learning and long-lasting connections among women across all sectors.
Speaking at the event, Paula McCaul, CEO of County Meath Chamber, said:
“Our Summer Celebration was wonderful; we welcomed eighty businesswomen to what was a truly engaging event. The strength of the Meath Women in Biz & Tech network is in the connections it creates. It’s about the conversations and the encouragement that continues long after the event. There’s a real opportunity here for more women to get involved and benefit from the support of the Meath WIB+T Network.
A special note of thanks was extended to the Station House Hotel, a Blue Book and Michelin-recognised venue, for hosting the event so fabulously. Visitors enjoyed mocktails on the terrace a three course lunch featuring local produce. Thanks also to those who sponsored prizess for a free raffle.
