Members of the County Meath Chamber Board and Executive recently attended the Bellewstown on 300 Year Celebration.
County Meath Chamber extends its warmest congratulations to the management and team at Bellewstown Racecourse as it celebrates an extraordinary milestone — 300 years of racing on the Hill of Crockafotha.
The historic anniversary was marked with a special two-day festival on August 25 and 26, 2026, celebrating three centuries of tradition, community spirit and sporting heritage at one of County Meath’s most iconic venues. Minister of Agriculture, Food and the Marine Martin Heydon attended along with Minister Thomas Byrne and Minister McEntee.
Bellewstown has long held a special place in the heart of Meath, attracting generations of racegoers, families, visitors and businesses to the area. Its continued success is a testament to the dedication of all those who have supported and sustained racing on the Hill over the past 300 years.
Speaking on behalf of County Meath Chamber, Chamber President Niamh GIffney siad:
“Bellewstown’s 300-year anniversary is a hugely significant milestone, not just for the racing community but for County Meath as a whole. The racecourse is part of our county’s rich heritage and continues to bring people together while contributing to the local economy and tourism offering. On behalf of County Meath Chamber, I warmly congratulate everyone involved in Bellewstown Racecourse on this remarkable celebration and wish them continued success for many years to come.”
County Meath Chamber commends Bellewstown Racecourse Chairperson Jack Gogarty, Manager Jessica Cahalan, team, supporters, volunteers and the wider local community on this historic achievement and looks forward to seeing this proud Meath tradition continue to thrive.
